We give in response to grace.
God loved us first and gave Himself for us in Jesus. Our generosity is not an attempt to earn His love. It grows from gratitude for the grace we have already received.

Generosity goes
beyond Sunday.
Following Jesus changes the way we see everything we have. Giving isn't a fee for attending church or a way to earn God's favor. It's an act of worship, trust, gratitude, and participation in what God is doing through His church.
Giving is not how we pay God back. It is one way we learn to trust the God who has already given us everything in Christ.
"God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
Why We Give
Generosity begins
with God.
Christian generosity doesn't begin with what the church needs from us. It begins with recognizing what God has already given to us. We give as a response to His grace, with willing hearts and growing trust.

We give as an act of trust.
Money can quietly become a source of security, identity, or control. Generosity teaches us to hold what we have with open hands and trust God as our provider.

We give willingly and generously.
Scripture calls Christians to thoughtful, willing generosity rather than pressure or compulsion. Giving becomes part of a life increasingly shaped by the generosity of Jesus.
Paul encouraged believers to give what they had decided in their hearts to give, "not reluctantly or under compulsion." Christian generosity is meant to come from a willing heart. - 2 Corinthians 9:7
Generosity Forms Us
God isn't after
a percentage.
The Bible gives us a long story of God's people learning to honor Him with what they have. In the Old Testament, tithes were an important part of Israel's covenant life. In the New Testament, the emphasis is repeatedly placed on willing, intentional, sacrificial, and generous giving.
Rather than asking, "What's the least I have to give?" followers of Jesus learn to ask, "How can I honor God with what He's entrusted to me?"
Generosity isn't about checking a box. It's about becoming the kind of people who increasingly trust God, loosen our grip on possessions, and gladly use what we have for His purposes.
A Helpful Way to Think About Giving
Intentional. Willing. Generous.
Some Christians use ten percent as a helpful starting point or personal benchmark. Others understand New Testament giving without prescribing a fixed percentage.
What Scripture clearly calls believers toward is generosity that is thoughtful, proportionate to what we have, willing rather than coerced, and sometimes deeply sacrificial.
Plan your giving rather than leaving generosity to chance.
Give willingly, not because someone pressured you.
Let generosity grow as God grows your faith and capacity.
Remember that stewardship involves all we have, not only what we give away.
